- The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Graduate Scholarship (QES) helps young Canadians to become global citizens while promoting Canada as a destination for the world’s top talent and international research leaders.
How does this scholarship work?
- QES is a project-based scholarship program. Requests are sent out to Canadian Universities, which then submit these proposals that include inbound and outbound scholarship opportunities in various fields.
- The universities that have winning projects are then responsible for recruiting the scholars. These scholars are classified into two categories, i.e. Canadian outbound and international inbound. Recruitment is done based on their areas of focus, partner organizations, and partner countries.
- 80% of the participants in this program are Canadians traveling outside their home country, and 20% are international inbound students.
- The QES program caters for stays ranging from three months to three years.
- This program is made possible through the support of the Government of Canada, Community Foundations of Canada (CFC), and Canadian universities.
