- The University of Manchester is offering over 100 merit-based undergraduate scholarships to international students from selected countries across the globe.
- The Bicentenary Global Futures Scholarships for Africa targets students from six countries on the African continent.

What does the scholarship cover?
- £8,000 for the first year of study with a further £8,000 awarded in the second and third years of study.
- Renewal of the scholarship is subject to attainment of an average of 60% in each year.

- Around 100 scholarships.
Which countries are targeted?
- Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
Am I Eligible to Apply?
To qualify for this scholarship, you must:
- be an international fee-paying student domiciled in the following countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa;
- have predominantly resided in one of the above countries during the last three years;
- hold an unconditional offer to study a full-time on-campus master’s course at The University of Manchester for a course starting in September 2025 by 24 April 2025;
- submit an online scholarship application form by the same deadline (the application form will be emailed to all eligible offer-holders);
- qualify for the award based on academic merit and the quality of your scholarship application;
- be self-funded (not sponsored).

- Note that the application form will only be made available to you once you have applied and been given an offer.
- All successful applicants will be notified of the University’s decision by 30 May 2025.
